Welcome to Kimberley Creative
– Affordable Freelance Graphic Design Services
My name is Kimberley, I
am the
owner of Kimberley Creative. I live in Melbourne Australia, but I offer
Graphic Design services worldwide. I offer a wide range of affordable
freelance
Graphic Design services and printing with VistaPrint. If you would like
a website designed, I am happy to modify a template brought, or I can
suggest a good website where you can get a a free template.
I have a Diploma of
Computer Graphic Design, which I studied at a Polytech
called Natcoll, which in New Zealand. I use a Mac Mini with all the
Graphic
Design software I need to design my clients projects: Adobe
InDesign
CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Acrobat
Professional and Adobe Freehand MX.
My Services
The Graphic Design
services I offer include: Logos, Banners, Business
Cards, Corporate I.D.’s, Brochures, Posters, Advertisements,
Newsletters, Magazines, Photoshop work e.g. photo retouching, packing
etc. If you would like a design quote, don't hesitate to contact me.
Working With Me
Send me an e-mail
outlining what you want designed, letting me know if
you have a deadline of completion. I will respond with a quote for your
design project. If you accept the quote, a deposit of 20% upfront is
required through PayPal (bank deposit can be used if preferred.)I
accept payment upon completion. When payment is received, I will send
you your final design as an unlocked PDF.
I involve my clients in
the design process, by showing them the proofs,
and getting their opinions on colours or concepts. I always make sure
that my clients are happy with how their design project is going. For
my
work use a Pantone Swatch book, which has a wide range of colours. With
this I can see what colours looks like printed before using them in a clients
design. Because of the brightness of a computer monitor, colours appear
brighter than they are.
I have introduced the
20% deposit payment method to my business to show
my clients know that they are bound to their project with me. I would
appreacheate clents coming back to me for all their design needs.
Please note that my Graphic Design business is my full time job, and I
can not afford to waste my time on projects where clients are not going
to pay me. I like to know that my clients are as dedicated to their
project, as I am. Which means returning e-mails, and paying straight
after conpletion.
About My Design History
Growing up in
Wellington, New Zealand (after spending two years in
Indonesia,) I have always been into
arts and design. From an early age, I was often
drawing and painting objects and landscapes around me. I've always
loved design, and often collect postcards with designs which interest
me, this is something I still do. Postcards are a great inspiration to
my
Graphic Design work. In
my early primary
school years, my lunchbox was decorated with small stickers from fruit,
surrounding my interest in detail, design and colours. All
through my school years I took Art:
Painting, and still are very crafty with sewing and other projects. In
my last few years of school I explored two different areas of art:
Print Making and Photography. My art teacher once said to me that
I had 'an eye
for photography.'
My interest in the
Graphic Design industry started in
year 11 (NZ) in 2002 when I took a Desktop Publishing subject, which is
basic Graphic
Design. I then inquired about Graphic Design courses at all
the Polytech's in
Wellington, choosing a Diploma of Computer Graphic Design at Natcoll. I
highly recommend the course, which teaches about all the design
softwares
used by Graphic Designers, other medias of art and a wide range of
Graphic Design projects.
In 2005, I moved with my
immediate family to Melbourne, Australia. Since my Graphic
Design studies in
2003, I have had a couple of Graphic Design jobs. In 2007 I
decided to open my own freelance Graphic Design business (Kimberley
Creative.) My aim is to
offer affordable freelance Graphic Design
services, and to offer them worldwide. I am very
passionate about my Graphic
Design, as it
involves my love for the arts, design and Apple Macintosh
computers.
